Greetings Friends. The campaign is getting very busy. We are beginning to see strong areas of support in various sections of the district.
Thank you to the many people that are out there working to keep our message clear.
Remember--this campaign is about choice. This campaign is about empowering the voters. This campaign is about positioning our district for sustainable growth that allows us to be competitive.
Again, thanks to all of you who are working so hard.

Posted on 3/22/2008 at 8:40 AM by JeanWe are closing the 3rd full official campaign week. It has been a full, busy and rewarding week. We have continued our team efforts across the entire district with registering voters and with assisting voters to request absentee ballots. I had opportunity to meet with senior groups as well as with the Halifax County Firefighters Assoc this week.
We have had activity in Scotlandneck this week meeting with voters and promoting our April 12 Gospel Sing. Finally, we had campaign activities in Rocky Mount, Enfield and Roanoke Rapids on Friday. All were recieved with positive and enthusiasic voters.
I had a strong candidate endorsement interview with representatives from local labor--AFL/CIO on Thurs. Of course other candidates were given the same opportunity. No matter what the outcome know that we were recieved well and our message was clearly heard.
As we now close out this week I encourage all of you to take some personal spiritual time and reflect on the the Easter season and Our Savoirs sacrifice. I also encourage you to take time with family and friends to celebrate the holiday.
Next week is a new week inwhich we will each need renewed energy. My personal thanks to all who are working so hard on this campaign. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and are making a difference.
April is shaping up to be a busy month we need to keep pushing those grassroots efforts.
